Fedora Core 6 and anaconda crashes

The latest edition of Fedora Core claims to bring lots of enhancements and eye candy, if you can get past the installation glitches!

The Fedora Core 6 installer (anaconda) crashes if you choose either of
two non-default options:

  1. Do not specify a static IP address during installation; just leave it at DHCP, and then modify your network configuration later.

  2. Do not specify that you want to enable Fedora Extras (extra package repositories) during installation; again, you can add these later.

If you leave those two options alone during the installation process (keeping in mind that you can configure them later), you should be fine.
