Pennington replaces Henne as Dolphins’ starting QB

Miami Dolphins’ head coach Tony Sparano has announced that Chad Pennington will replace Chad Henne as the starting quarterback for the 4-4 Dolphins this week against Tennessee.

Surprising? Perhaps. Exciting? I hope so. A bad move? Never.

What is the big deal with this guy anyway? Isn’t he washed up, injured many times over, way past his prime?  What’s special about Pennington?

If you’ve got 12 minutes to spare, maybe this NFL Films video will explain things for you.

Update: well, that didn’t go very well, did it?  Maybe I sympathize with the guy because I feel a parallel with his lack of luck, etc.  I don’t know.  But regardless of the guy’s character, which I think is outstanding, it’s clear that nobody deserves that level of bad luck … nobody.
